We have had one of those outdoor weekends. Cutting back a very overgrown hedge, taking down a couple of trees and cutting up the wood. Sounds like we have a huge garden, but sadly we don't. Our chickens are on a piece of land we borrow and we pay rent with veg and eggs, also by hedge cutting. I was the go-for loading up and clearing the cuttings then transporting them to the bonfire heap, which I love because I get to drive this......
We had this on loan for the weekend whilst Tim serviced it.( I'm getting nearer to my ambition of driving a tractor) I am thinking of trading my car in for one, I think it would make the supermarket shop much more enjoyable. Fortunately I am a bit out of focus in this photo because I do look a bit gormless. Next job for me was on the chain saw. I know you will appreciate this piece of machinery Steph.
There is something very satisfying cutting and stacking wood.
I love days like this where you get absolutely filthy, we also got soaked. You can wear the worst clothes you own and be more productive than you will ever be in your best ones.
After a shower and a clean set of clothes I was able to collapse into the chair to get started on a new project. Can anybody please tell me how to have only ONE! thing on the go at once because I don't seem to be able to manage it. They do say variety is the spice of life so I will use that as my excuse.
