I really don't know where the time goes just lately. The house seems to be completely upside down with work in progress and most of my time is spent covered in dust, paint, mud or sometimes a combination of all three. We have managed to get two of the kitchen units built and in place which is a big move forward from shuttering ply. We did get some wonderful respite from all this on Friday when we went to the summer ball, so mud etc. needed to be washed off prior to this. We travelled in style with a group of our neighbours on the community mini bus which had little suspension if any at all, so we were well shaken after a 20 mile trip. It does all add to the fun though and it is supporting the only bus that travels through this village.
"the shawl did go to the ball"
This picture is just to remind me that I don't always live in overalls and the dress I made last year has'nt fallen apart............... yet!
Today was the start of a new venture. Michele, Zoe and myself decided we would meet up every 4-6 weeks and get crafting with what ever took our fancy. Michele was busy finishing her scarf and we managed to get her curtains cut out.
Zoe's needles were clicking so fast there was smoke appearing. None of us could decide if we were knitting correctly, but we agreed that as long as the needles were moving the wool was flying and something was coming off the bottom it must be right. She also started on a loopy scarf made on a gadget. I was pleased to have a go on this because I recently bought one.
I managed to play with some of my birthday presents and start on a patchwork project for a very special young lady. She should be home from hospital soon having spent the last year there.
Thank you very much to Michele for being hostess and providing lunch, tea coffee and cakes and thank you to Zoe who bought Michele and I a bunch of these each. They are beautiful.
